For 1 - 2 people: One 4' x 8' panel, 80 gal tank

For 3 - 4 people: Two 4' x 8' panels, 80 gal tank

For 5 or more: Two 4' x 10' or three 4' x 8' panels , 120 gal tank

To determine the type system you'd like - review Drainback or Pressurized.
For Conversion Kits: If your existing heater has a 40 gal. capacity:

For Instant Hot Water Heaters:
In order to fully utilize a solar hot water system with an instant hot water heater, you will need some type of storage tank. We recommend obtaining a 40 or 50 gal. electric water heater to use as a storage tank. This tank will be used for storage only so DO NOT connect the electric elements. Once you obtain the tank, select the correct Conversion Kit for the size tank.
